populating javabean from result set dynamically

Can someone tell me how to populate a javabean or a tool to do it. I only want a smalll too that can populate javabeans whose
properties are not tied to the columns in the result set. (Dont mention Hibernate or Xdoclet..they are too big)

Keep JDBC connection alive

I am running into problem with JDBC connection outside of the firewall. The firewall disconnect idle connection after 15min. Is there a way to keep JDBC alive for
as long as the application is running?
